The American Dairy Association donated tickets to our club for the Philadelphia Charge's Home Opener on May 4th at Villanova Stadium.
The tickets were given to participants and volunteers of the club's TOPSoccer Program. TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a MLU sponsored program that gives children with mental and physical disabilities an opportunity to play soccer. MLU travel soccer players act as "buddies" for the disabled TOPS children, providing one-on-one support. MLU trainer, Michael Payne runs the TOPS sessions on Saturday mornings.
Prior to the game, the kids were treated to a "meet and greet" with Charge player, Lorrie Fair. Lorrie spoke with the "Buddies" and posed for photos. She then went out to help the Charge defeat the Boston Breakers!
MLU thanks The American Dairy Association for their generous donation and asks the question, "GOT MILK?"
